Oily T ZONE

July 18, 2008 / by sherryever

Tell me what do you do if you have oily T zone. I have been told that you can't do anything about it.

Please tell me its not true I am having oily T zone and my face is starting to get oily too. First it was very dried skin now oily. Its not normal is it?

Family members and my man complaining to me.. that I looked very bad. Ouch that hurst from the inside out. Why no more sweet words but all the one that I don't want to listen.

Any advice?

It sounds like you might have combination skin, I have the same (oily around the T-zone, dry on the rest of my face). There's a few things that are supposed to help. I've only just started looking into this myself, so i can't say that i've tried these methods, but i've heard from friends that they help and will try them myself asap. Anyways, here's what i've been told to try:

    1. Make sure to use the right cleanser. If you're dealing with excess oil, you'll need to use a cleanser meant specifically for oily skin in that area. A gel based cleanser works best to eliminate oil and clean out your pores.

    2. Apparently rubbing lemon on your face for 5 minutes or so can really help, just be careful not to get any in your eyes.

    3. Keep your hands and your hair off the skin. They bring extra oil and dirt onto your face, which further clogs the pores.

    Hope these help :)
